Hello Neighbors,

Please join us for the 2023 Annual Tanglewilde Independence Day Parade at 10:30 am on July 4th!

The preliminaries will begin at 10:00 am at the LA Fitness parking lot.

We encourage veterans, kids and their bikes/trikes/wagons/strollers, adults, and well-behaved pets to join our procession.

Also if you have a snazzy car or truck, especially a convertible, we’d love you to join the parade. Please email us ahead of time (cmarka@gmail.com), as a “neighborhood procession” as defined by the city may only have a dozen vehicles.

We’ll have hotdogs and refreshments afterwards (while supplies last) at 9631 Meadowcroft Dr.

The Houston Police Department has announced that Houston’s annual National Night Out event will take place on Tuesday, October 4 (5:30-7:30 pm).

Tanglewilde and Westmont will be holding their National Night Out at the Meadowcroft bridge area between the two neighborhoods (technically between Westerland and Rocky Ridge) from 6-8 pm, where we’ve held events recently.

The Mercer Team will be providing complimentary food/refreshments, face painting for the kiddos, and more! Please come join us.

Per neighbor Seth Miller on NextDoor, Tanglewilde and Westmont neighbors are invited to a “come and go” party to get to know neighbors or catch up with neighbors you already know, starting at 5:30 PM at 9535 Beverly Hill St.

Some drinks/snacks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own and a lawn chair.

The Mercer Team (an area realtor well-known by many people in the neighborhood) will be sponsoring a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for residents of Tanglewilde and Westmont on May 5, 2022 (when else?) from 6pm-8pm at the bridge on Meadowcroft (between the two neighborhoods).

There will be complimentary food, a mariachi band, face painting, balloon animals, and door prizes. Come join the fun!
